Experience
Since she was 16, Cristina knew she wanted to travel, eat, and write for a living. Her writing career began at Time Out New York in 2013 as an intern for the Food & Drink section, where she later stayed on as a writer. In 2014, she returned to her hometown, Mexico City, where she joined the team at Travel+Leisure México as a staff writer. She was named deputy editor two years later, and then took the same position at Aire, Aeroméxico's in-flight magazine. In 2018, she became editor-in-chief of this publication, a role she left in the fall of 2022 to pursue a freelance career. Cristina has been writing features for Tasting Table since the summer of 2022, sharing her passion for restaurants, Mexican cuisine, and spirits and cocktails. She also writes content for luxury hotels and other hospitality-related projects in Mexico.
Education
Cristina has a Bachelor's degree in Communication from Universidad Iberoamericana Ciudad de México, and a Master's degree in Magazine Writing from New York University.
