Tess is a journalist who first began her career as a freelance reporter while in college. As a freelancer, her work appeared in the Long Beach Post and Open Campus. After graduating, she spent a year at the Long Beach Post, covering small businesses, health, education, real estate, tourism, and more. While in school, Tess was also the editor-in-chief of her community college newspaper and a contributor to the CalMatters College Journalism Network.
